1996 - 1st place for Best News Photography by the Central Florida Press Club, for the photograph of the grieving wife of a Brevard County Sheriff's Department deputy killed in the line of duty.

1996 - Associated Press Best Photograph of the Month of July for the same photo as above.

1996- 1st place for Best Sports Photography by the Central Florida Press Club, for the photograph of a European football player as he gets tackled during a college match.

1996- National Press Photographers Association, (NPPA) 2nd place for Best Sports Photography on region 6 for the same football player photograph.

1994 - Gannett Best Newspaper of the Year Award.

1993 - Best of Gannett Gold Medal Award.
